The Wayne Wells Memorial Scholarship is intended to assist AFOA Alberta members who are Aboriginal, including Métis and Inuit, to pursue their CAFM or other post-secondary education in the finance and/or management field and for part-time students working towards a professional designation and working full-time. The program must be sponsored or jointly offered with AFOA Alberta. Applicants are accepted throughout the year. The award will cover tuition and travel to a maximum of $750.00 per scholarship. Up to two awards are available per year, to a maximum yearly total of $1,500.00.
CRITERIA
- Applicant must be aboriginal.
- Applicant must be pursuing their CAFM or certificate, diploma or degree program in management, accounting or finance at the post-secondary level. In addition, the program must be sponsored or jointly offered with AFOA Alberta.
- Applicant must attest to financial need.
