This is a three-credit, introductory course in statistics designed to provide students with the basic concepts and methods of statistical analysis. The course and the textbook are tailored to meet the needs of students in administrative studies.

This is a three credit course in statistics designed to provide students with the basic concepts and methods of statistical analysis, offered through AFOA Alberta and Athabasca University. This is a required course to satisfy the requirements for a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Content will include: data and statistics, descriptive statistics, probability, distributions, sampling, and statistical inference.  Sessions are October 4-6, November 8-10 and December 6-8, 2019. The sessions will be conducted at the AFOA Alberta learning center at Enoch, AB. Cost for members is $500.00, non-members is $885.00 (includes a membership). This is a pre-registration, additional registration forms and pre-payment are required. This program requires pre-reading and individually paced work including graded assingments outside of the classroom as well as exams. An electronic textbook will be provided, if you wish a printed text, you must purchase seperately. Please plan to spend a minimum of 15 hours per week outside of course weekends to complete work and assingments.  You will require a computer and internet connection for this program. This course is part of the Bachelor of Commerce program. Cellphone use will be restricted during classroom instruction. You must register by September 6th, 2019 to participate in this co-hort.
